My name is Dean Chaban. I was born in the Netherlands in 2007 to Syrian parents, and growing up between two cultures shaped the way I think, create, and solve problems. It taught me to stay open‑minded, to look at challenges from different angles, and to design with empathy and clarity.
I’m currently studying Product Design Engineering, and I’m passionate about creating solutions that make everyday life easier, smarter, and more enjoyable. I love simplifying complex systems and turning ideas into clear, functional designs that people actually want to use.
One of my biggest strengths is presenting. I enjoy explaining concepts, pitching ideas, and guiding people through my design process. Whether I’m sharing research, showing a prototype, or defending a design decision, I feel confident communicating my vision and bringing others along with me.
I’m driven, curious, and always looking for ways to improve my skills whether that’s through user research, visual design, prototyping, or service thinking. I enjoy working on projects that combine creativity with logic, and I’m motivated by the idea of designing products that genuinely help people.
As I continue to grow as a designer and engineer, my goal is to create solutions that are intuitive, meaningful, and built with a strong understanding of the user.
