Pont Packaging: Sustainable Recharge-Packaging for Marie-stella-maris
Ma-Re-Charge is a rechargeable shower bottle system designed to replace single use plastic packaging. It consists of a reusable outer bottle and a replaceable inner bottle, reducing material use and environmental impact over multiple refill cycles. Made from mono-material PE, the system improves recyclability and reaches its environmental break-even point after two refills. The disc cap enables one-hand operation and a leak-proof, travel-safe closure. Designed with a minimal and timeless aesthetic, Ma-Re-Charge integrates into both home and retail environments and supports refill-based care products
The bottle consists of three components, one of which is rechargeable. The CO₂ emissions associated with this rechargeable component are 0.1 kg. Compared to a conventional shampoo bottle, the break-even point for this system is reached after only two refills. In addition, the rechargeable unit is significantly more recyclable than standard refill pouches, as it is made from a single (mono) material and has a larger volume, which improves recycling efficiency.
